Job Description
Work at this level will entail:
- cleaning of glassware and apparatus for teaching and research;
- dusting of all equipment used for teaching and research;
- ensuring the storage of chemicals in clean, well labeled shelves arranged in order;
- and performing any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
For appointment to this grade an officer must have:-

Job Description
An officer at this level will be responsible to the Deputy Dean of Students.
Work at this level will entail;
- Providing parental supervision and direction to students;
- Raising the level of students educational and cultural awareness;
- Providing opportunity to explore educational career interests;
- Facilitating informal contacts with faculty and administrative staff;
- Contributing to development through group interactions and opportunity for leadership experiences and helping in planning and engaging them in productive leisure experiences; developing a sense of community belonging within the halls of Residence;
- Participating inbuilding self confidence, assertiveness and respectability in students as well as inoculate them on their sexual responsibility and helping to maintain discipline within the halls of residence.
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
- Served in the grade of Assistant Dean of Students or in a comparable and relevant position for at least three (3) years.
- Masters Degree in either Education or social sciences or equivalent qualification from recognized institution.
- Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
- PhD is an added advantage.
To advance to this position, one should have:
- Masters Degree in Social Sciences, Education, Psychology or its equivalent from a recognized University.
