Kuehne + Nagel seeks to recruit qualified candidates to fill the following positions in our Sales and Sea freight Departments.

Customer Service, Airfreight, Nairobi:

Requirements
  • Diploma in Sales and Marketing/Public Relations
  • 3 years experience in Customer Service in the Freight and Logistics industry
  • Excellent communication skills and team player
  • Analytical skills with ability to pay attention to detail
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responding to current and new clients’ queries and planning for Sales Executive’s meeting with clients.
  • Preparation of periodic sales and customer service reports and submission of the same to the Head of Sales.
  • In charge of clients documentation including filing and retrieval.
  • Maintain relevant records and statistics on customer database.
  • Prepare clearing and forwarding instructions.
  • Sending airfreight instructions to the relevant Kuehne + Nagel stations.
  • In liaison with the Manager, Airfreight Imports and Head of sales, prepare rate proposals for both existing and new clients.
  • Assisting in other areas within the Sales Department.
  • Ensure all clients complaints and queries are settled and responded promptly and efficiently.
Customer Service, Sea freight, Nairobi:

Requirements

  • Diploma in Sales and Marketing/Public Relations

Requirements
  • At least a Diploma in Sales and Marketing or Clearing and Forwarding from a reputable institution.
  • At least 2 years serving in the capacity of Customer Service or Front Office
  • Excellent communication skills and team player
  • Analytical skills with ability to pay attention to detail
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare periodic reports and submitting the same to the Head of Sales.
  • Taking minutes in all departmental meetings and filing of the same
  • Maintain relevant records and statistics on turnover, trading and non-trading clients etc.

Operations Manager, Mombasa:

Requirements

  • A Bachelors degree in Business Management/Administration with a postgraduate Diploma in Shipping, Warehousing or Maritime related studies.
  • Should have knowledge in Accounts with reasonable past working experience.
  • Demonstrate strong ability to co-ordinate and prioritize urgent tasks and workloads.
  • Be at least 27 years with 2 years experience in a busy working environment.
  • Should be a team player with good interpersonal relations and ability to fit quickly in a group.
  • Must be Computer Literate with proficiency in MS Office packages.
  • Must possess good people’s skills, team leadership and problem solving skills.
  • Must be capable of establishing strong rapport with stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Follow up on Documentation processes, ensuring port release, intervene with stakeholders and issue regular updates.
  • Discharge supervisory roles in preparation of financial reports and raising invoices to clients for completed tasks.
  • Ensure compliance to work instructions, to conduct and chair operations meetings, setting daily and weekly targets for staff in all sections and monitoring operational performance and strengthening areas of weakness.
  • Generate relevant management Reports for budgeting, sales and customer support.
  • Follow up on seamless flow of port shipment releases, loadings and other updates on the current shipments to ensure targets are met and exceeded.
  • Ensure all clients complaints and queries are settled and responded promptly and efficiently
  • Formulate standard operating procedures and review of processes and generate regular status Report as per client’s need.
  • Ensuring effective FS -Ciel closing of completed tasks and monitoring of costs
