Program Manager

DSW’s (Deutsche Stiftung Weltbevoelkerung) main goal is to ‘empower
people for a healthy future’. DSW is seeking to fill the position of Programme Manager for its Kenya office based in Nairobi.

The successful candidate will ensure the efficient and effective implementation of DSWs projects in Kenya consistent with DSW’s mission, vision and strategic plan.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise the implementation of DSWs diverse projects addressing poverty reduction, sexual reproductive health and youth empowerment;
• Ensure sound financial management and quality project outputs by DSW and partners;
• Assure that high quality reports are submitted to donors on time;
• Promote and manage partnerships with local and national Government institutions;
• Liaise with national and international stakeholders, including donors and international NGOs;
• Seek funding to sustain and expand DSW’s project portfolio.
  

Qualifications and Experience

• BA degree in social science or relevant development field,
• A minimum of 5 years experience in working with an international non-profit organization,
• Experience in the management of EU and USAID funded grants,
• Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and the ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English
• Proof of successful grant applications
